Tickets for Teachers

Prior to the 2008-09 season, the UNLV men's basketball program launched the "Tickets for Teachers" program to say "Thank you" to teachers in the Clark County School District. The inaugual "Tickets for Teachers" program celebrated amazing success and provided two season tickets to every elementary and middle school in the district in which principals used to give to teachers as an incentive.

The UNLV men's basketball, along with the Clark County School District's School-Community Partnership are teaming up again this year to provide tickets to all 278 schools.

Tickets are provided through "angel" donations from community members. A school - two tickets - can be sponsored for $180 for the men's basketball season. Donors purchase tickets through the UNLV Athletics' ticketing department. (Preferred schools can be recommended by donors, however, the program's goal is to have all schools sponsored.) After the purchase, the ticketing department then facilitates the donation of the tickets to the Rebel Athletic Fund, which is in the name of the donor and is tax-deductible. (A gift receipt will be sent to the donor.) The RAF will then donate the tickets to the CCSD's School-Community Partnership to be distributed to the schools.
