WHAT YOU MIGHT WANT TO KNOW:
- UNLV bounced back from a three-game slide with a dominating performance in a 70-39 win over
Colorado State on Saturday at the Thomas & Mack Center... Freshman
Anthony Marshall and sophomore
Chace Stanback each scored 12 points as Marshall also pulled down 10 rebounds. Juniors
Tre'Von Willis and
Kendall Wallace added 11 points each... UNLV led 40-16 at halftime as the Rebels defense held the Rams to only four field goals in the first half (and only 11 in the entire game). The Rebels shot 48 percent (23 of 48) from the field and hit 8 of 16 3-point attempts.
- Last January, UNLV held
Air Force to just 38 points (one less point than in the win on Saturday). Prior to that game, the last time the Runnin' Rebels held a team to less than 40 points in a game was in February 1992 in an 83-39 win over
San Jose State.
- The win gave
UNLV 20 wins in four-consecutive seasons (2006-10) for the first time since 1989-93. Prior to the current run, the Runnin' Rebels had not had three consecutive 20-win seasons since 1990-93... UNLV has won
98 times since the beginning of the 2006-07 seasons, one of the top win totals in the West during that four-year span... The win was also
Lon Kruger's 450th career win as a collegiate coach.
- UNLV is expected to play again tonight without key juniors
Derrick Jasper and
Matt Shaw... Jasper - who started every game this season prior to his injury - has been out since late January with a knee injury. Shaw has missed the last two games with an ankle injury... Despite sitting out most of the second half of the Colorado State game with an injury, senior
Darris Santee is expected to start tonight. Sophomore
Oscar Bellfield - who has been playing the past three weeks with a sore knee - is also expected to start.
-
TONIGHT at 6 p.m. -

- TCU has split its last four games with road wins over Wyoming and Air Force and home losses to
Utah and
San Diego State... Head coach
Jim Christian is in his second year at TCU and his seventh overall as a collegiate head coach.
- The Horned Frogs are led by sophomore guard
Ronnie Moss with 14.4 ppg, ranking fourth in the Mountain West Conference... Moss also leads the team and the league in assists with 6.3 apg. Two other players average double figures in senior forward
Evonko Buljan (12.0 ppg) and senior guard
Edvinas Ruzgas (10.8 ppg). Buljan also leads the team in rebounds with 8.5 rpg.
- The Runnin' Rebels defeated the Horned Frogs earlier this season, 79-70, on Jan. 23 in Fort Worth, Texas. Junior Tre'Von Willis scored a then career-high 30 points to lead the Rebels. UNLV leads the all-time series 13-2.
